Within site of the majestic Danskin Mountains to the north, the town has mild valley temperatures. Excellent lake and stream fishing, hunting, hiking and climbing are within close reach. Within a few miles of Mountain Home, you’ll find opportunities for whitewater rafting, exploring ghost towns, camping, and enjoying natural hot springs. In the town of Glenns Ferry to the east, is Three Island Crossing State Park, where Oregon Trail immigrants crossed the Snake River.
